After growing up in a Swedish village until the age of 16, contemporary photo-realistic painter Linnea Strid packed up and moved with her family to Fuengirola in Southern Spain. It is in Spain where she began to cultivate her artistic career with numerous gallery exhibitions. She then moved back to Sweden in 2004 where she attended art school for 4 years. Check out some examples of Linnea’s detailed, hyper-realistic paintings below. You can also catch some of Linnea’s work in a group show curated by the Thinkspace entitled “Impetus” which will be held at the Joseph Cross Gallery at the University of Arizona. The show runs from September 6th to November 9th, 2011.
