Shawn Barber

Earning his BFA from Ringling College of Art in 1999, Los Angeles, CA based oil painter and tattoo artist Shawn Barber creates well-crafted intrinsic figurative portraits of modern tattoo culture. His contemporary style of detailed brushstrokes mixed with an abstract representation of the tattoo art form bring his paintings to the next level. In the past decade Barber has had paintings held is private collections worldwide, exhibited in comprehensive group and solo shows, and even had two books of his work published, “Tattooed Portraits” and “Forever and Ever”. You can catch an exhibition of Barber’s work currently on display in his latest solo show entitled “Memoir: The Tattooed Portraits Series” currently on display at the Joshua Liner Gallery. The show runs until July 28th.
