Max Neutra - Crossing the Streams

With the use of Max Neutra’s familiar and playful rabbit motif, he has created a collection of work that “frames a wild unpredictability with stoic stability”.

Max Neutra is going through a period of transition.
The painter who has been based in the Los Angeles area for the past 15 years has recently moved back to his hometown in New Mexico in preparation of his and his wife’s first child. In reflection of this temporary transitional period, Neutra created his series “Crossing the Streams” for his fourth solo show with C.A.V.E. Gallery of Venice, California. The work shows off an in between with the bold energy and vibrancy that is Los Angeles versus the romanticized southwestern stillness of New Mexico. With the use of Neutra’s familiar and playful rabbit motif, he has created a collection of work that “frames a wild unpredictability with stoic stability”.

“Cross the Streams” opens Saturday, January 9th with reception at 6:30p PST and the show running through February 6th, 2016
