Tara McPherson

After growing up in Los Angeles and earning a BFA from Art Center College in Pasadena, CA, artist Tara McPherson relocated to New York City to continue perusing her passion, being creative. Her many areas of expertise includes, but is not limited to, designing and printing gig posters for the worlds most famous bands, creating toys for companies such as Kidrobot, Dark Horse, and Toy2R, painting comics and covers for DC Vertigo, and participating in an active career in illustration designing work for numerous editorials and other renowned publications. You can currently see Tara’s work on display as part of “The Emergence of the Pop Imagist” show being held at Campo de la Madonna de L’Orto in Venice, Italy which runs until September 15, 2011. In the event that you cannot make it to Italy, you can also catch Tara’s work at the Eric Firestone Gallery in New York as part of an exhibition called “Nose Job” which will be up until August 21, 2011.
